Because finally people began to appreciate rose wines and the weather is warm, rosé is still the winner of the season.
Christos Zafirakis and the area of Tyrnavos, both have a unique relationship with the rising rare red variety Limniona and those of the international vineyard. Investing in organic cultivation in the particular land area Palaiomylos with the high condensation in flint stones, he achieved unique results in the vineyard which was rewarded in the bottle as well.
Giving his full attention to the proper maturation and choosing the ideal moment for harvesting the grapes, he gives his personal touch to the wines of Domaine Zafeirakis. With minimal intervention in winemaking and using indigenous yeasts, the varieties are allowed to express themselves freely revealing every facet of their character to the Domaine Zafeirakis wines.
In Palaiomylos Rosé 2015 Domaine Zafiraki the Limniona meets Syrah giving one of the most sophisticated and refined greek rosé we've tried in a long time. Exceptionally well made, stylish and full of character, it looks straight in the eye at many big rosé of the international vineyard.
