Why do we love it?

A young wine salesman who became a bird, a myth that became a wine. The bird called Ampellourgos or Krasopoulos often makes its appearance in the vineyards during the first days of spring with the characteristic melodic singing. It is said that it is trying to sell its delicious wines even now ...

A few months ago it made its appearance and the vineyard of Domaine Kokotou marking the Spring's coming and giving inspiration for a brand new white wine that smells like Spring and Summer together.

The Greek variety Roditis meets the aromatic Alsatian Gewurztraminer in a small production white wine full of freshness and vitality.

It's so nice that the bird will not have too much trouble selling its wine...

Tastes Like

Greenish-yellow color in the glass indicative of freshness.

Moderate floral aromas of daisy and rose are complemented by kiwi, melon and peach which appear gradually as it opens aromatically in the glass. A sense of minerallity adds character.

In the mouth, rich, with a greasy feel and balanced acidity. The flowers persist in the mouth accompanied by peach and quince. The long aftertaste leaves a buttery sensation of rose in mouth. Do not be surprised if you feel it coming back after a while...

PAIR IT

Combine with cool summer salads, pasta with seafood sauce or white cheese

Pasta with seafood sauce

  • 1 tbsp. of olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. of paprika
  • 400g chopped tomatoes
  • 1 liter of chicken broth (from cube is fine)
  • 300 grams of macaroni
  • 240g pack of frozen seafood mix
  • some parsley leaves, finely chopped,and slices of lemon for serving

Heat the olive oil in a wok or a large pan. Add onion and garlic and saute them in moderate heat for 5 minutes until they are softened. Add paprika, tomato and broth and let the mixture boil.

Reduce the heat to simmer and add the pasta. Cook for 7 minutes by stirring occasionally to avoid sticking together. If you use a ready mix of seafood, defrost it and add it in the end, cooking for another 3 minutes. Season with salt pepper as desired. Finally, sprinkle with parsley and serve with slices of lemon.
