Its name comes from the homonymous local wildflower flooding the Domaine Foivos vineyard just before harvest. Until recently it was unknown and one of the best kept secrets among lovers of rich, aromatic white wines. The unique international distinctions turned the spotlight on it and the Domaine Foivos of the obsessed with quality Theodore Orkopoulos!

Three rare and unknown local varieties of Kefalonia, the Moschatella, the Tsaousi and the Vostilidi meet in a white wine with exuberant aromas and flavors that will impress all fans of this type. The residual sugar is in ideal levels, emphasizing its fruity character and classifying the Asfodelos 2016 in semi-dry white wines.

In the glass its colour is lemon – yellow.

In the nose, a celebration of fruit and flowers! Pear, peach, loquat and melon aromas are combined with jasmin and rose in a honey background. Grass and herbal allusions of nettle and chamomile complete the bouquet contributing to its complexity.

In the mouth, it is rich with oily sense and light sweetness that enhances its fruity side and balances its refreshing acidity. Melon, peach and tangerin are tastefully noticeable combined with light herbal notes. Its fruity sense lingers in the mouth in the long – lasting aftertaste.
