Why do we love it?

Its was about time for the Rose finally to become a trend. And the semi-dry roses are the ones worshiped most! With a tremendous pace they are becoming the main choice for those seeking an easy wine that will beautify evenings on the terrace, hot summer nights and will generally satisfy all who admit (or not...) that they like summer fruits and fresh flavors.

The Rose Ex Arnon 2019 Claudia Papayianni from Arnaia Chalkidiki, is a uniquely aromatic and intense pink semi-dry wine that will definitely make you fill your glass again and again!

Grenache Rouge and Xinomavro meet and remain in the tank with the lees (sur lie) for 3 months. Regular battonage (stirring the lees) added volume and gave the wine the opportunity to absorb the intense features of the three varieties.

Tastes Like

In the glass, its colour is bright cherry.

Impressive aromas of fresh cherry and strawberry are accompanied by rose turkish delight and caramel. Vanilla, cinammon and clove grant a light spicy character while allusions of tomato and buttery sense complete the explosive bouquet.

In the mouth it is rich with oilness, slight tannins and nicely intergrated acidity that grants longevity. The balanced sweetness shows off the cherry and starwberry that dominate in the mouth, followed by vanilla. The long – lasting aftertaste leaves fruit in the mouth for long.

Enjoy it as an aperitif or combine it with vegetable pies or oily dishes of Hellenic cuisine.

Couscous salad with strawberries and goat cheese

For the salad

  • 100 g goat cheese
  • 150 grams of couscous with lemon and mint
  • 3-4 strawberries
  • 50 g baby spinach
  • 2 fresh onions
  • 2 tablespoons of almond shavings
  • 1 tbsp of pine nuts
  • ¼ bunch of coriander
  • 5-6 mint leaves 

For dressing

  • 3 strawberries
  • 2 tbsps. of white balsamic or apple vinegar
  • 3 tbsps. of olive oil
  • 2 tbsps. of water
  • 1 tbsp. of brown sugar
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Salt

Directions

In the food processor (multi), we blend all the ingredients for the dressing.

Prepare the couscous with mint and lemon, according to the packaging instructions, in a spacious bowl.

Roast the pine nut and almond and add half the amount to the couscous.

Chop onions, mint and coriander, add them to the couscous with the half of the dressing that we prepared and mix together.

If there is time, let the salad to "marinate" inside or outside the refrigerator.
