STAFORTE SOAVE CLASSICO 2016 - AZIENDA AGRICOLA PRÀ

Graziano Pra is a 3rd generation winemaker and has been at the wheel of the Pra Winery for many years now. His goal was to highlight the special crus of the Soave region and honor the ancient lands, by making wines whose main characteristic is purity. He was the one who managed to put the vineyards of Soave on the wine map, such as Monteforte d'Alpone. Staforte is a wine from this vineyard, 100% Garganega and is probably one of the finest Soave to be released. The reason? Old vines (30-60 years old), on volcanic soils, along with the most suitable techniques ensure grape’s quality. And of course Graziano's obsession does not stop there. Only the best grapes are selected for Staforte, those with the best ripening and the highest concentration. The precious must is fermented in stainless tanks and rests for 6 months on its fine lees. The resulting wine bears a great reflection of the soil, the area and the variety.

The color is medium lemon with bright green hues.

Delightful, with medium aromatic intensity and dominant fresh fruit aromas. Pear, melon, peach, banana, bergamot, citron and tangerine meet hints of orange, daisy and fresh almond. Lightweight flint notes highlight its mineral character.

On the palate, has medium body and medium acidity, which perfectly balances the oily texture. Juicy pear, bergamot, peach, tangerine, chamomile, and white pepper along with salty and mineral notes, complete the profile. Slightly spicy aftertaste, with long finish.
