Domaine des Gerbeaux is in the hands of Beatrice and Jean-Michel Drouin, who in 1979 developed the estate, which belonged to his family since 1896. Their son Xavier has now joined them.
Jean-Michel produces some of the best and most unique wines in the Mâconnais region. In the typical Burgundian style, it has small vineyards (over 40) spread over Mâcon, St. Véran, and Pouilly-Fuissé.
The wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels depending on their nature. The wines are wonderful and Jean-Michel is lucky to know that every bottle has been sold before it is even bottled.
