They were looking for a bold name and Green Thunder was the one they came up with for the amazing cheese produced by Snowdonia Cheese Company, a farming cooperative from North Wales. The company was originally created to provide employment in the Denbigh area, but has produced some truly amazing cheeses that have won worldwide awards in recent years! One of them is the Cheddar Green Thunder!
Rich, mature, and creamy cheddar, seasoned with garlic and herbs. It has a wax coating to keep its unique texture and aromas intact. It's delicious in creamy sauces for pasta casseroles, vegetable tarts, and on its own.
Pair it with rich, white, oaky wines such as Chardonnay, Assyrtiko, and Retsina!
