If you keep an eye on competitions and magazines, you have definitely noticed it and you are probably looking for it everywhere. You can stop looking since Limniona Domaine D. Migas has arrived at botilia. The wine that drove the judges of Thessaloniki crazy (and rightly so) has just arrived in our cellar and is probably the red that we will drink all summer long!
Dimitris Migas is a man who loves his land. The huge, for the data of the region, investment in a winery that is one of the most technologically advanced in Greece is shocking proof. Its ally in all this is the mild climate of the area and the ideal drainage of the soil of the 120 acres of the family vineyard. In general, he is the man who introduced us to Muscat of Tyrnavos and in many different versions. More specifically he is the one who decided to deal with the rapidly rising Limniona and to prove that in addition to aromatic and light Muscats he can also make red wines of incredible elegance and complexity that are able to impress even the most demanding. Limniona Domaine D. Migas was one of the most impressive reds of the Thessaloniki International Wine Competition and fought head-to-head for the title of the Best red in show. Careful vinification and aging for 14 months in French oak barrels gave a wine with unique finesse and expressiveness.
Enjoy it with beef fillet with mushrooms or with a pasta alla Norma with fresh tuna!
