Why do we love it?

Malbec Natural 2021 Bodegas Krontiras is one of your favorite red wines! We know this because the number of bottles we get is never enough. We do not know if the reason for this is the natural approach, its wonderful artistic label or the irresistible content of the bottle.

Constantine Krontiras and his wife Silvina Macipa-Krontiras followed their passion for Argentinean wine and in 2004 they created Bodegas Krontiras in Lujan de Cujo, the area where the world's best Malbec is made. Their winery is amongst the most beautiful wineries in Argentina. Ultra-modern, biodynamically certified, is an ornament at the foot of Andes, in the beautiful Mendoza, where the best Argentinean wines are made.

The well-known and experienced Panos Zoumboulis is totally responsible for the vines and the winemaking process. Restless mister Zoumboulis never stops experimenting and looking for new techniques.

In the context of biodynamic philosophy and absolute respect for the wine and the environment, Panos Zoumboulis created Malbec Natural 2021 Bodegas Krontiras. As its name implies, it is a Malbec without additional sulfites, with minimal interventions and no trace of oak barrel. The quality of the grape and the terroir speak for themselves and have a lot to say ... It may be from Argentina, but the French finesse of the variety is expressed in all its grandeur!

And yes, as you can guess these types of wines come in a handful and limited bottles!

Tastes Like

Malbec Natural 2021 Bodegas Krontiras has deep purple color. Its intense aromas captivate you from the very first moment. Dense black fruits, sour cherry, blackberry, and blueberry are accompanied by notes of dried flowers, iodine, and star anise.

On the palate, it is elegant, medium-bodied, with refreshing acidity, emblematic balance, and velvety, ripe tannins. Dense cherry, sour cherry, framboise, and blackberry meet hints of violet, lavender, and green tea in a truly impressive set.

Rigatoni with tomato, pancetta and goat cheese

  • 4 mature tomatoes of medium size
  • Olive oil
  • Salt according to your preferences
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • ½ cup chopped pancetta
  • 150 gr goat cheese cut into cubes
  • 500 gr rigatoni
  • Parsley leaves for serving

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

Cut the tomatoes in slices and spread them on a pan. Season them with olive oil, salt (at will) and spread the chopped pancetta all over the pan.

Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until the tomatoes soften. Place the pieces of goat cheese on each tomato and turn up the heat at 250 o C. Bake for about 10 more minutes until the pancetta becomes crisp and the cheese gets a golden color.

Boil the rigatoni according to the instructions of the packaging (al dente) and drain well. Place them in a large serving bowl, add some olive oil and mix them so they do not stick together. With a spoon, put half the tomatoes with the melted cheese and the pancetta over the macaroni, add a little olive oil and stir with the rigatoni until the tomatoes are dissolved and mixed with the whole.

For serving, add the remaining tomatoes with the melted cheese and pancetta on the side of each dish. Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper and add parsley leaves.
