OCEAN RED 2010-IDAIA WINERY

It was awarded with the Regional Award at last year’s Decanter interational competition in London, which means the best greek red wine in the class of under €17,5 (15 GBP) and in total it was ranked 147 in the world, among 10.000 participants.

The last bottles of Red Ocean 2010 are here! The cretan variety Mandilaria, harmoniously combined with the cosmopolitan Syrah, was vinificated and matured for 36 months in french oak barrels. The result was a rich, red wine which impresses everyone who tries it and sweeps all awards wherever it appears!

Tts colour is ruby with warm orange highlights.

Aromas of ripe red fruit,mostly blackberry and cherry are combined with buttery notes and dried nuts. Vanilla, toffu, leather and oak make their presence noticeable.

In the mouth, it is rich with full body and initial distinctive sweetness. The easily distinguished rounded tannins are combined with the lightly pinched acidity for a balanced result in total. The long-lasting aftertaste leaves the sense of vanilla and dried nuts in the mouth!
