SORRY GUYS, WE RAN OUT OF THIS ONE

Silver at the Sommelier Wine Awards!

Why do we love it?

We liked Dyo Elies 2013 very much simply because of the super-concentrated blend of Kir-Yianni, which consists of Syrah (mainly) - Merlot - Xinomavro, from Yiannakochori. Extremely low yields and very careful sorting are the basis. It matures for 16 months, in oak barrels of 225 liters gives the final touch to this wonderful wine. In all the previous it is worth adding the 5 years "on the back" that just give it extra points of complexity. It is worth mentioning that the best sommeliers agree with us since 2017 got the silver medal in Sommelier Wine Awards!

It has deep ruby color with purple hues.

Dense black fruit dominates the nose. Blueberry, cherry, plum and sour cherry sprinkled with spices such as vanilla and pepper and dipped in bitter chocolate.

On the palate it has medium to full body, crisp acidity and moderate but juicy tannins. The aromas of the palate are similar with those of the nose with sour cherry, pepper and chocolate to dominate. Chocolate aftertaste that lasts.
