Estate Theopetra

On hearing the name Tsililis, the mind justifiably goes to all the amazing grape and distillates in which we are accustomed.

The family Tsililis however, in 100 acres of estate vineyard Theopetra in the area of Meteora does more than that. In order to revive the traditional vineyard of Meteora which was destroyed by phylloxera, planted in 1995, the first vineyard on the slopes around the prehistoric cave Theopetra. The unique terrain of the area combined with the weather creates a unique teroir conducive to grape growing and producing great wine.

The recent discovery of Grapeseed in the cave Theopetras came to confirm the historical relationship of the Meteora region with viticulture and production of wine and spirits. See more about Domaine Theopetra.

Tastes Like

The color of the glass, purple with violet hues.

The nose offers aromas characteristic ripe red fruit, mainly plums along with dried fig and apricot. Discrete is the presence of butter, black pepper and vanilla.

In exceptional harmony, light sweetness and acidity framed by moderate tannins in a rich, full-bodied red wine. With the long aftertaste, stay in the mouth flavors of dried fig and spice sensation.
