Why do we love it?

Last year it was praised by the New York Times (for second consecutive year) but this year Limniona Rose 2019 of Domaine Zafeirakis is expected to be even better and is intended to make the wine universe go nuts (once again)!

Christos Zafeirakis and Tyrnavos, as it turns out, have a unique relationship with the uprising Limniona. By investing in organic farming, and the unique soils of Paleomylos, he achieved perfect results on the vine that are demonstrated inside the bottle. With minimal interference during vinification and the use of indigenous yeasts, it allows the variety to express itself freely, revealing every aspect of its character. Yes, Limniona Rose is a food-friendly rosé and an absolute Passepartout for Mediterranean cuisine.

PAIR IT

with red sauce pasta, stuffed tomatoes and other oily dishes of Greek cuisine. Alternatively enjoy it on its own as an aperitif.

Salad with spinach, strawberry, avocado and blue cheese

  • 300 gr of spinach cleaned and cut into large pieces
  • 12 medium-sized strawberries, cut into slices
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 4 slices of bacon, crisped and crushed
  • 80 gr blue cheese or goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup of walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 3 tbsps. of balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsps. of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. of sugar

In a blender, mix up olive oil, sugar, balsamic and 4 strawberries until they become a homogeneous vinaigrette.

Put the spinach in a bowl. Pour over the dressing and add the rest of the ingredients.
