Vera Rosa Strataridakis Winery impresses with its elegance and balance. So simple!
A few years ago, two brothers, Manolis and Kostis Strataridakis, wanted to build their own winery, at the southernmost tip of Europe, in Kastelliana, Heraklion, Crete. Both agriculturalists started to cultivate the privately owned family vineyards which mainly consist of the estates of the Sinaitic monastery of the Holy Apostles, at the foot of Asterousia in the Prefecture of Heraklion. There they planted both local and international grape varieties and so their wines are both single varietals and original blends. One of them is the Vera Rosa Strataridakis Winery. The blend consists of Merlot and Moschato Spinas. The juice remains in contact with the skins for a few hours to acquire this pale rose color and delicate aromas of red fruits and flowers.
Enjoy it plain or with light snacks.
