Why do we love it?
Vinsanto Artemis Karamolegos Winery is a rich and impressive sweet wine from Assyrtiko and Aidani. Its many years of aging give it unique complexity that leaves no one unmoved.

The winery of Artemis Karamolegos is one of the oldest on the island and has its own secret recipe for the traditional and fine sweet wine of Santorini. The blend consists of 85% Assyrtiko and 15% Aidani. The grapes come from selected vineyards in Pyrgos, Megalochori, Exo Gonia, and Akrotiri. The grapes are sun-dried for 9-14 days under the hot sun of Santorini in order to dehydrate and concentrate the sugars, acidity but also flavors of the grapes. The precious juice is then transferred to stainless steel tanks where it is fermented. After that, the wine is transferred to old French oak barrels of 225 and 500 liters and matures there for at least 90 months.
