Giannikos Winery has 2 vineyards one in Corinth around the winery and another in Mycenae, near the famous archaeological site and the birthplace of Greek wine growing. The grapes were harvested overripe from the privately owned vineyard in Mycenae. The wine was then fermented and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels to emphasize its complexity.
