ROSÉ 2014 – DOMAINE KOKOTOS

The personal bet of the oenologist of Domain Kokotos, Anna Aga, the Rosé wine of the domain proved to be one of the geatest hits last year. The combination of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in a fresh and full of aromas rosé wine was a pleasant surprise for the friends of botilia.gr and it went out of stock in just a few days!

The two french varieties were fermented separately with the Merlot being extracted for 11 hours while the Cabernet Sauvignon just for 6 giving bright rosé colour and aromas full of freshness. After the completion of this special fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the two varieties were mixed in an exquisite rosé blend which made us excited once more!

In the glass, its colour is rose with salmon – pink highlights.

There is an aromatic explosion of red fruit with strawberry and white–heart cherry being accompanied by raspberry and passion fruit allusions. Rose and toffee sense complete the aromatic party.

In the mouth, the good sized body with characteristic oilness is balanced nicely by the refreshing acidity. Cherry and strawberry stand out in the mouth leaving a fruity feeling in the long – lasting aftertaste.
