MOSCHATO SPINAS - STRATARIDAKIS WINERY
Moschato Spinas was yet another forgotten Greek variety. A few years ago, two brothers, Manolis and Kostis Strataridakis decided to help it prove itself, giving it the place it deserves. At the southernmost winery in Europe, the variety was given the opportunity it needed. Today, it has been established in the Cretan vineyards and its single varietal wines have earned their place on the top of white aromatic Greek wines.
MALAGOUZIA - MPOUGIOURIS ESTATE
Mpougiouris Estate doesn't need introductions. You know, love and prefer it for its quality and well-made wines. Malagouzia is their pride and every year they give their best to make it even more enjoyable. This year they changed its style slightly by using lees contact to make it even richer and more expressive.
MALVASIA AROMATICA - KARAVITAKIS WINERY
If summer is on your mind all year long, then Malvasia Aromatica by Karavitakis Winery is the best way to get there. The explosive aromatic variety Malvasia Aromatica has already proved its unconditional love for Crete and this is probably its finest version.
WHITE - HARITATOS VINEYARD
Known to the Cephalonian circles for their long tradition of working with the land and their love for the arts and culture, they have been working on vines and winemaking for years. In the family vineyard, in Kladata Cephalonia, with the beautiful family country house that looks like a photo of an exotic paradise, they cultivated their beloved Muscat. Maybe it has to do with the soil, the special climate of the region, and the careful winemaking, but White by Haritatos Vineyard is the ultimate expression of the explosive aromatic variety.
GEWURZTRAMINER - VILLA WOLF (ERNST LOOSEN)
Gewurztraminer Villa Wolf is a wine that literally pulls you from the nose, like any fine Gewurz that respects itself. Typical aromatic character and a bit of residual sugar, just as much as you need to love it.
MALAGOUZIA - KITRVS WINERY
Malagouzia by Kitrvs Winery, has won the title of one of the best Malagouzias (if not the best!) in Greece, and each year it honors its title and reputation. In Greece, in the last few years, Malagouzia plantings have grown eightfold, which shows that we love it very much. Fortunately, not just us. Having already started an international career, it impresses both wine lovers at the different ends of the planet.
