Contains one of each of the following.
LE SANG DE LA PIERRE - AIVALIS WINERY
We first met it a few years ago. Its name means the Blood of the Stone. They came up with it by chance, while in the vineyard. The concentration, its depth, and color, completely justify their selection. Fermentation took place in large French 500lt oak barrels to mitigate contact of wine with wood. It remained there for 14 months. It got smoother. Then, it was bottled with one of the most beautiful labels of Greek wine.
FINIKAS RED OAKED - DROUVA WINERY
Mavroudi (70%) and Agiorgitiko (30%) of the privately-owned vineyards of the family in Agios Georgios, at Pyrgos Ilias, were hand-picked at the right time. Even for the pressure of the grapes, any mechanical intervention was minimal. The precious juice remained in French oak barrels for about 10 months. The result is seductive and spicy and surely sets the bar high for the next steps of the winery.
NEMEA - ESTATE GOFAS
Nemea of Estate Gofas comes from a single vineyard with an altitude of 380m in Koutsi, Nemea. The low yields per hectare and the perfect ripening of the fruit, are the key elements of its success. The wine remains in French oak barrels of 225lt for 12 months and then rests for 6 months in the bottle. The result is complex, intense, and exuberant.
APOCALYPSIS - BARAFAKAS WINERY
Christos Barafakas belongs to the people who never rest. After ten years of experimentation, Apocalypsis is finally ready. With absolute attention to vinification and after maturing for just over 12 months in French oak barrels of different sizes, the result fully justifies the title. Apocalypsis has the ultimate balance of fruit and spice, liveliness, and robustness. This balance will make you love Nemea (again).
KRATISTOS - LYKOS WINERY
Apostolos Lykos believes so much in the potential of this great red variety that it was almost impossible not to mess with it. And he does it well, very well!
DEUX DIEUX - AIVALIS WINERY
Deux Dieux from Aivalis Winery is probably the most complete wine we've ever tasted. A wine that floods the palate and evolves even more as you drink it. Syrah and Agiorgitiko are vinified separately and after that, they mature for 25 months in French oak barrels from the Alier forest.
