Contains 1 of each of the following.

LAOUDIA SANTORINI 2020 – CANAVA CHRYSOU TSELEPOS (95 pts)

The best Assyrtiko, the best white wine of the Thessaloniki Competition and the best in show! Fermentation and maturation of Laoudia was done in amphoras, and the wine remained there with its fine wine lees for 8 months. It was then bottled and left for about another 10 months to mature in the winery’s cellar! Complexity and balance, extreme concentration, electric acidity, combined with explosive aromas and rich body.

LIMNIONA 2019 – DOMAINE MIGAS (94 pts)

The wine that drove the judges of Thessaloniki crazy (and rightly so), Limniona Domaine D. Migas, is here and it’s probably the red that we will drink all summer long! One of the most impressive reds of the Thessaloniki International Wine Competition, fought head-to-head for the title of the Best Red. Careful vinification and aging for 14 months in French oak barrels gave a wine with unique finesse and expressiveness.

ASSYRTIKO 2018 - AKRATHOS NEWLANDS WINERY (93 pts)

Last year it was the best Assyrtiko of the Competition and this year it came close enough. Assyrtiko Akrathos Newlands Winery is a sharp Assyrtiko that combines tropical fruits and intense mineral character in a unique way. Without a trace of oak but with a bone-crushing structure, it will win you over from the first sip. The wine ferments and matures in stainless steel tanks, with its fine wine lees, for 6 months. The result is expressive, with hints of saltiness and lemony acidity. This Assyrtiko came to stay, as everything shows!

EMILIA - SILVA DASKALAKI WINERY (95 pts)

A sweet wine from sun-dried Liatiko grapes that impresses from the first moment. The wine ages for 6 years in French and American oak barrels acquiring enviable complexity. Despite its age, the wine still retains its freshness and liveliness, while on the other hand its exuberant sweetness is balanced by its crisp acidity.

VERA ROSE - STRATARIDAKIS WINERY (91 pts)

Elegant and floral, this rosé will you over from the first sip. The blend consists of Syrah and Kotsifali and the short stay with the wine lees gives it a creamy texture. Strataridakis Winery may be famous for its Muscat of Spina but as everything shows, it does just as well in rose wines too. It is worth mentioning that Vera Rosa was voted, almost unanimously, as the best rosé of the Competition.

NEMEA RESERVE - SEMELI (92 pts)

A very classic Agiorgitiko that has all that we love in the variety: rich red and black fruit, sweet spices, chocolate notes and velvety tannins. The 12-month stay in French oak barrels gives complexity and depth. A really great wine at a very low price! It should be noted that it stood out as the best Agiorgitiko of the Competition.
