Clase Azul Añejo is a luxurious tequila that emphasizes elegance and delicacy of flavors. The journey from agave to tequila begins with the cultivation of organic blue agave, which must be 9 years old before processing begins. After slow cooking in traditional ovens, fermentation takes place with the secret and traditional recipe of Clase Azul.
Clase Azul Añejo is aged for more than two years, in American casks that had been used in whiskey production. Then the bottling takes place in the hand-made ultra-elegant carafe that represents the cultural wealth of the country and is made by local artisans. It is hand-painted with shades of blue and the designs represent the life cycle of the plant, while the central shape refers to its final form (tequila) and is made of real 24-carat gold.
Clase Azul Añejo is a true work of art, inside and out!
It has a dark amber color with copper highlights. Intense aromas of notes of orange, mandarin jam, quince, and smoked oak with subtle notes of cinnamon and clove. Roasted hazelnut and vanilla add complexity. It has a full body, with strong aromas of orange marmalade, smoked oak, nutmeg and cloves, with a long aftertaste.
