The story of Dictador began in Colombia and carries over a century of heritage in rum production. The distillery, Destilería Colombiana, remains faithful to traditional techniques while enriching them with innovative methods. It uses virgin sugarcane honey and different distillation systems (pot still, batch kettle, and column), achieving unique flavor profiles. Produced through the Solera system, from rums aged 8–14 years, with an average of 12 years, it then matures in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon and sherry, gaining depth and complexity that secure its place among the world’s finest premium rums.
On the nose, it offers aromas of freshly roasted coffee, vanilla, caramel, and honey, while on the palate it is smooth, with notes of spices, oak, and chocolate. The finish is long and refined, with sweet and woody nuances. Enjoy it neat or in premium cocktails.
