Moscatel is an exceptionally fragrant dessert wine produced in Portugal, and only the masters at the GlenAllachie distillery could combine it with a single malt Scotch. The GlenAllachie 12 Year Old Moscatel Wood Finish began its maturation in first-fill American oak barrels that previously held Bourbon, where it stayed for over 8 years. It was then transferred to Moscatel casks, where it developed immense depth and complexity, justifying the 42 months it spent there!

It was bottled without added coloring and without chill filtration.
On the nose, it reveals enticing aromas of orange blossom, lemon blossom, heather honey, citrus, Seville orange, and grapefruit, complemented by notes of butterscotch and caramel.
On the palate, dark chocolate, grape must, plum jam, orange, and sweet Seville orange dominate, followed by cinnamon, honeycomb, ginger, and butterscotch.
