From the first day Billy Walker acquired the Glenallachie distillery, he was thinking about bottling the Glenallachie 15 years old. After some years of experimentation, he came up with a combination of puncheons and hogsheads barrels that previously hosted Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherries, that gave it the perfect balance. Distillation is achieved at 46% vol without filtering and adding caramel color. It is considered, not unjustly, the diamond of the distillery. Exuberant, balanced, and full-flavored, it is a trademark of the house.
Bronze with brown highlights in our glass. On the nose, strong aromas of nuts, vanilla, dried fruits as well as ground coffee and cocoa. Ripe banana, honey, citrus peels, and dried apricots predominate in the mouth.
