Glenallachie is one of the most famous single malt whiskey distilleries in Speyside, Aberlour, founded in 1967. Producing and bottling mainly blended whiskeys is their specialty, with distillates now making history. Billy Walker is responsible for that, who has more than 50 years of experience and is now a legend in his field.
GlenAllachie 8 Year Old, belongs to the core collection of its spirits, i.e. the Core collection, which includes spirits that form the backbone of the distillery. Pedro Ximenez sherry, Oloroso sherry, Virgin oak, and barriques previously used in red wine are used for its maturation. Distillation is achieved at 46 alcohol degrees, without chill filtering, and without color addition.
Natural copper in the glass. On the nose aromas of butter caramel and cinnamon. Notes of ginger and roasted almonds, add sparkle and complexity. In the mouth, heather honey dominates, with black currant and butterscotch notes. Hints of mint create a sense of freshness in the aftertaste.
