With almost 50 years of experience in the whiskey industry, Billy Walker, who acquired the GlenAllachie distillery in 2017, decided to enrich the range of single malts of the distillery with a series of blended malts that combine masterfully whiskey from the island of Islay with whiskey of the wider Speyside area. Thus, was born Macnair's series which is expressed with a perfect balance between the smoke and the peat of Islay and the sweet elements of Speyside. The palette of complex aromatic elements is caused by the maturation of the distillate, which is made both in a barrel of sherry oloroso, in virgin oak barrels as well as barrels of red wine!
Brown color with orange tones in the glass. Smoky and peaty notes on the nose, dark chocolate, sweet spices, honey, honeycomb, dried apricot, and tobacco. In the mouth, black pepper, dried plum, dark chocolate, smoky and peaty notes, woody taste, honey, and roasted almonds.
