The ancient Greek variety of the Aegean islands is leaving the Cyclades and now it is cultivated throughout Greece. The slopes of the Kitheronas and Erythres region, seem to be a perfect match, causing it to express the full brilliance of its character. Light, flowery, playful, and easy to pair with a wide range of Greek dishes, Athiri easily became one of the varieties that were very loved in Greece.

Athiri 2022 Mpougiouris Estate promises enjoyable moments by accompanying Greek dishes or on its own, as an aperitif.

Tastes Like

Athiri 2022 Mpougiouris Estate has pale lemon color with greenish hues. Elegant floral aromas of rose and jasmine are combined with bergamot, lemon, peach, and green apple.

Elegant mouth, with a medium body and beautifully balanced acidity. Apple, grapefruit, pear, lime, citron, and Turkish delight, are starring on the palate and remain there in the long-lasting aftertaste.

with green salads, marathokeftedes, fried fish or just as an aperitif.

Quinoa salad with avocado and bell peppers

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of red and green bell peppers cut into cubes
  • 1/2 ripe avocado cut into thin slices
  • 2 tbsps. of onion finely chopped
  • 2 tbsps. of lemon juice
  • 2 tbsps. of fresh oregano
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Balsamic cream

Boil the quinoa in a small pot and once the water boils, lower the heat and let simmer until it absorbs all the water (about 10 minutes).

Let the quinoa cool down.

Add all the ingredients except avocados to a bowl and mix well.

Garnish with 5-6 slices of avocado and serve with balsamic cream.
