The Chardonnay Barrique 2024 from the Tetramythos winery has the authenticity of a Chardonnay wine, having received the smooth touch of natural winemaking, which the Tetramythos winery team has already spoiled us with. It is an excellent white wine with a pleasant oiliness, notes of ripe stone fruits and citrus fruits, and biscuit aromas. Delicious and completely natural!
The vineyards of the Tetramythos winery are located in Aegialia, at an altitude of 915 meters, where organic crops allow the grapes to grow without the intervention of chemicals. The fruits are harvested manually with special care and attention to ensure the wine's quality. Chardonnay Barrique comes from a single vineyard with a north orientation, located at an altitude of 810 meters. During the winemaking process, only free-run juice is used to ensure the highest quality and juiciest result. Fermentation is done with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, but 1/4 ferments in a 600-liter oak barrel. The two are then mixed and mature together for 6 months in contact with the lees in the barrel, which gives a creamy texture and depth to the taste. This elaborate winemaking ensures elegance and lemony aromas, with a sense of minerality characteristic of the region's terroir.
