Why do we love it?

Are you dreaming of evening walks to Palermo, under the Sicilian sky? If so, the Karima Grillo from Musita winery will take you straight to Sicily.

Sicily has volcanic soils, cool sea breezes and plenty of sunshine and these are reflected in its wines. Musita is a beautiful, family winery in Salemi, Sicily, which creates wines with Italian temperament. Grillo in Italian means cricket, but it is also an impressive, aromatic, white grape variety. Its aromatic profile bears a slight resemblance to Malagouzia, and in recent years it is gaining more and more ground in the preferences of Italians. After the manual harvest and fermentation, the wine remains on its fine lees for 4 months, to gain extra points of complexity.

It's worth knowing that Karima means generous girl in Arabic and fits like a glove to its generous aromatic content.

Tastes Like

It has medium lemon color with greenish hues.

Impressive nose with notes of peach, bergamot, pear, lime and white flowers such as honeysuckle and citrus blossoms.

On the palate, it has medium body and discreet acidity. Pear, bergamot, peach, lime, bitter orange and grapefruit make up a beautiful set. Citrus aftertaste that lasts.

with light green salads, Asian cuisine dishes or steamed seabass with vegetables.

Tabbouleh salad

  • 1 cup of couscous
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • juice of a lemon
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 cup of chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander
  • 2 tbsps chopped fresh mint
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, cut into cubes
  • 3 fresh onions, finely chopped

Heat water, after salting it first,  in a medium-sized pot and leave it to boil. Add the couscous and leave to moderate heat for 7 to 8 minutes. Drain the couscous and let it cool down. In the meantime, in a small bowl, mix lemon juice with olive oil. Add salt and pepper.

In a large bowl, mix couscous, parsley, coriander, mint, tomatoes and onions. Add the mixture of lemon juice and olive oil and salt and pepper. Leave it for about 20 minutes before serving to marinate.
