The Karadimou Estate is located in Atalanti Fthiotida and consists of a total of 65 acres of privately owned vineyards. At its helm are two brothers, Dimitris and Giannis. Dimitris Karadimos, studied and practiced for years as a physics teacher, having decided in 1998 to follow his passion for wine. He studied enology and finishing his studies in 2001, he joined forces with his brother Giannis who had a lot of experience in cultivating the land and in viticulture.
The vineyards of the estate extend on the slopes of Knimida, about 4 kilometers northwest of Megaplatanos, and are all mountainous. They are planted with Greek and foreign varieties and to be precise seventeen acres with Assyrtiko, which was the first planting done in 1998, thirty-two acres with Malagouzia and six with Sauvignon Blanc planted in 1999, and ten acres of Xinomavro, which was also their last addition in 2000. Most of them are located in the wider archaeological site of Vissa, while the cultivation as a whole from the beginning is organic with BIO HELLAS Certification!
The harvest starts at the beginning of August for the whites and at the end of August for the Xinomavro.
Maestro consists 100% of the Malagouzia variety, which has been vinified with special mastery to generously express its respect for the place where it was grown. Slopes at an altitude of 350-440 meters, with a gentle slope and calcareous soils, combined with a permanent air current from the Aegean to Parnassos, create a natural climate and a cool summer. It is this breeze that creates constant temperature variation, which helps preserve and enhance the aromas and structure of the grape!
The price you see, together with what is described above, are very serious elements, to make you unable to hold back and place it in a permanent and unshakable place on your table!
