Why do we love it?

Petrakopoulos hits with a miracle once again. The winery of Nikos Petrakopoulos is dedicated, like no other, to the emergence of Robola and his new label, Robola "Thymari Petras", is perhaps the best Robola out there.

For years, Petrakopoulos winery experiments with natural vinifications, specific vineyard sites, limited production, and bottles, testing different approaches to Kefalonian varieties. Robola "Thymari Petras" comes from one of the best vineyards of Kefalonia, the hillside of Lakkomatia. The vineyard is at an altitude of 600 meters, it has a gravelly terrain, and among the vines, thyme and wild herbs grow, hence the name Thymari Petras (thyme of stone). Vinification is as natural as possible to highlight the impressive virtues of Robola and its unique terroir. By remaining for 6 months on its fine lees it acquires an exuberant buttery feeling and a fuller body.

Robola in its absolute expression is bottled in just a few bottles that are already collectible!

Tastes Like

It has pale lemon color.

The nose is at first shy but gradually unfolds its aromas. Lemon blossom, thyme, lemon, grapefruit, peach, and green tea blend in with the intense mineral character.

On the palate, it has incredible concentration and sharp acidity that comes in perfect balance with its oily texture. Peach, citron, thyme, rosemary, green tea, lemon zest, and a sense of saltiness and flint make up an impressive set. Botanical aftertaste that persists.
