Why do we love it?

You have made it to be your beloved white wine at the recent Festival:Hellas Celebration Flavours. It is back to give away aromas and flavours not only to festive but to daily table,as well.

The blend of two loved hellenic white varieties, Malagouzia and Asyrtiko, tends to be a classic one. Having disappeared since 1970, the variety Malagouzia has been established as a world class variety nowdays which adds its aromatic intensity,fruity character and full mouth in the blend. Asyrtiko adds pungency, intensity in the mouth and mineral character.

Enjoy the blend of these two varieties in one of its best versions from the privately owned biologically grown vineyards of Vrioniotis Winery on the mount Telethrio in North Euboea. A model vinification which impresses whoever tastes it!

Tastes Like

In the glass its colour is yellow with sparkling golden highlights.

In the nose, it is captivating through its intense white-fleshed fruit aromas, its flowery character and the citrus trees aromas which appear gradually. Peach, ripe apricot, melon and sweet blood orange are completed by gardenia, lemon flower and tropical mango so as to give us an explosive total.

In the mouthit is rich, enjoyable with much more distinctive aromas and clearly the blood orange to be dominant. The acidity is absolutely balanced with its  full body while its long-lasting aftertaste leaves a spicy sense in the mouth.

Enjoy it with sea food pasta, stuffed tomatoes with rice or spinach with rice.

Pasta with seafood sauce

  • 1 tbsp. of olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. of paprika
  • 400g chopped tomatoes
  • 1 liter of chicken broth (from cube is fine)
  • 300 grams of macaroni
  • 240g pack of frozen seafood mix
  • some parsley leaves, finely chopped,and slices of lemon for serving

Heat the olive oil in a wok or a large pan. Add onion and garlic and saute them in moderate heat for 5 minutes until they are softened. Add paprika, tomato and broth and let the mixture boil.

Reduce the heat to simmer and add the pasta. Cook for 7 minutes by stirring occasionally to avoid sticking together. If you use a ready mix of seafood, defrost it and add it in the end, cooking for another 3 minutes. Season with salt pepper as desired. Finally, sprinkle with parsley and serve with slices of lemon.
