On Friday 10th of October, we’re heading back to the Southern Hemisphere, but this time we’re turning our compass toward Australia and more specifically, McLaren Vale, where one of the country’s most iconic wineries, D’Arenberg, is breaking the mold and writing its own chapter on the global wine map.
Founded in 1912 by Joseph Osborn, the winery is now led by Chester Osborn, the 4th generation of the family, who proves to be a true winemaking artist. With passion, boldness, and boundless creativity, he crafts expressive, multidimensional wines full of character. From the emblematic The Ironstone Pressings GSM, to the fruity and elegant Olive Grove Chardonnay, and the powerful Dead Arm Shiraz, D’Arenberg wines remain a symbol of Australian winemaking, earning international acclaim in over 80 countries!
The winery’s philosophy is rooted in organic and biodynamic principles, using unique winemaking techniques, traditional basket presses, and full solar energy utilization. It has also reduced plastic usage by 70%! D’Arenberg is a member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, dedicated to showcasing the authentic identity of Australian wine for over a century. Notably, its artistic excellence shines through The D’Arenberg Cube, the winery’s tasting room, which blends modern architecture with vineyard heritage in a truly impressive way.
You’ll have the rare opportunity to hear this story from Chester Osborn, Winery Owner & Chief Winemaker, through a presentation and tasting of some of McLaren Vale’s most iconic labels.
