LIPSI WINERY

Two winemakers, Manolis Vavoulas and Nikos Gryllis, joined forces in 2013 to create  Lipsi Winery on the island. In the vineyards spread over an area of ​​45 acres, the varieties Fokiano, Asyrtiko, Athiri, Mandilaria and Syrah are grown. Fokiano variety, which is an ancient , indigenous variety, owes its name to Fokea in Mikra Asia and according to tradition was given as a gift from God Dionysus. In  Lipsi winery, is responsible for the production of one of the most important dessert wines which is called Aposperitis.
