VIÑA VIK
Viña Vik was founded in 2006 by Norwegian entrepreneur Alexander Vik and his wife Carrie, following a two-year search for the perfect terroir in South America. They chose Millahue area in the Cachapoal Valley, a region the indigenous Mapuche people call “Lugar de Oro” (Place of Gold). The couple acquired 4,500 hectares of land, with around 327 hectares planted with varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah. The region’s microclimate, cool ocean breezes, and diverse soils create ideal conditions for producing high-quality wines.The winery stands out for its striking architecture, designed by Smiljan Radic, with a strong focus on sustainability, aesthetics, and harmony with the surrounding landscape.
