Santorini 2016
We all know that Santorini can age and Santorini 2019 of Artemis Karamolegos Winery is here to prove it! A classic and crystalline expression of Santorini’s terroir, in wich the best vineyards of the island join forces to create a mineral white wine that will blow your mind. Add the fact that it has been aged for a few years in the bottle and you have an AMAZING Santorini that you should definitely try! With this wine you will discover the amazing possibilities of Assyrtiko!
Santorini 2019
The blend is traditional and aromatic, from 90% Assyrtiko and 10% Athiri and Aidani. The grapes come from the villages of Pyrgos, Exo Gonia, Fira, Akrotiri, Emporio and Megalochori. Each variety and each "village" is fermented separately and the final blending is done differently depending on the specificity of each vintage. The wine matures for 5 months with its fine wine lees to gain oiliness, able to balance its sharp acidity. Enjoy it now or 10 years later…
Santorini 34 2019
Can you imagine how an Assyrtiko from 120 year old vines from one of the best vineyard sites in Santorini would taste? No? It doesn't matter, you don't have to imagine it, you can just taste Santorini 34 of Artemis Karamolegos Winery! Assyrtiko comes from 120 year old ancestral vines from the best vineyards in the villages Pyrgos, Exo Gonia, Fira, Akrotiri and Megalochori. The wine matures for 9 months on its fine lees and 10% of the wine matures for 5 months in third-use oak barrels. Needless to say, it can be aged for a decade (to say the least!).
Pyritis 2019
Pyritis Artemis Karamolegos Winery in Santorini, is an epic Greek wine, highlighting the grandeur of Assyrtiko and the rain of medals that it usually causes it is not surprising at all! Exuberant but elegant, Pyritis Artemis Karamolegos Winery expresses the terroir of the best vineyards on the island. Pyritis is the result of a union of three different vineyards, with Assyrtiko vines over 120 years old. Very low yields, minimal interventions, and 10 months maturation on its fine lees, contribute to the creation of one of the best Assyrtikos in Santorini (Decanter agrees!).
