After years of thought and experimentation, the A-Muse family from Muses Estate is finally complete with its long-awaited red sibling, A-Muse red Muses Estate. Just like the entire A-Muse range, this red is juicy, a real crowd-pleaser, and a chameleon at the table. The icing on the cake, however, is its rare and remarkable blend of Mouchtaro and Mavrotragano. We fell in love with it from the very first sip!
Muses Estate began its journey in 1947 in Askri a region with a long-standing tradition of viticulture. Three generations later, the Zacharias family continues with the same passion, crafting wines that stand out for their quality and character. Today, the Zacharias brothers keep the family legacy alive while exploring new paths within the Greek vineyard, focusing their attention on rare and indigenous Greek grape varieties.
For A-Muse red Muses Estate, they decided seven years ago to plant Mavrotragano in the Valley of the Muses and blend it with 20% Mouchtaro, their signature grape variety. With fermentation and ageing carried out exclusively in stainless steel tanks rather than oak barrels, the herbal, cherry-driven and spicy aromas of each variety are allowed to shine. At the same time, its silky tannins make it equally enjoyable served slightly chilled alongside a wide range of dishes.
