The enormous potential of the Melitona’s slopes area was recognized very early on and thus in 1982 it acquired its own PDO. The vineyards have an altitude of 200-300m. and is organically grown.
Chrysallis Porto Karras is a blend of two red varieties. The main one is Cabernet Sauvignon, a variety that when it shows its robust character, for some, it is almost unapproachable. But along came Cinsault, with its intense aromatic potential and mild character, to soften it!
