Bodega Lagarde is a family winery in Mendoza and is currently run by sisters Sofia and Lucila Pescarmona (the third generation of winemakers). Believing in both the Mendoza microclimate and the people who work with them, they have dedicated themselves to creating expressive, top wines in small batches.
The Guarda Cabernet Franc Bodega Lagarde is one of them and comes from a 27-year-old vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo, at an altitude of 960 meters. The wine is fermented with ambient yeasts, at relatively high temperatures. After that, the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels acquiring an intense spicy character and impressive complexity.
Guarda Cabernet Franc Bodega Lagarde is a sumptuous, juicy Cabernet with the dense fruit of the New World and elegance that follows the lead of the Loire Valley.
