Giant Steps Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2020 is an incredible and super elegant Pinot Noir from Australia that has scored 93pts by James Suckling, 93pts by Wine Enthusiast, 92pts by Decanter and 92pts by Wine Spectator. It conquered us from the first sip and something tells us that it will become your favorite too, once you try it.
The winery began in 1997 when Phil Sexton was looking for the right altitude, soil and orientation and the ideal microclimate in Yarra Valley. His purpose was to plant Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and make wines of amazing quality and expression. And he succeeded since his wines have received worldwide recognition and have received over 100 gold medals in major both international and domestic competitions. As if that weren't enough, his winery has been recognized as one of the 100 best wineries in the world by Wine & Spirits Magazine, every single year for the past six years.
Giant Steps Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2020 is one of the winery's 'affordable-luxury' wines and is made from selected vines from Yarra Valley. The grapes are picked by hand and the wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wine ferments and matures in French oak barrels (10% new) for 8 months. It is bottled unfiltered and is delightful either fresh or after short cellar aging.
