Why do we love it?

Okay, it sounds almost cliché. The absolutely romantic couple strikes again, causing great emotions! Is it cliché or not?

If the Chardonnay - Malagouzia blend of the white Romeo & Juliet is considered one of the most unconventional and successful blends, then the red couple will definitely make its own history.

In the role of Romeo, the robust Cabernet Sauvignon, while Juliet is played by the spicy Agiorgitiko. The grapes come from the privately owned vineyard of Gofa’s Estate in Koutsi, the most famous "grand cru" vineyard in Nemea. The selection of the fruit was extremely rigorous even in a good vintage like 2013. So the raw material was amazing.

The final blend was 70% - 30%, with Cabernet holding the scepter. The extraction took 20 days and the pationate couple stayed for 24 months in 225 liter oak barrels. They probably sound a lot. Keep in mind that Gofas is a real artist in handling oak, achieving the ideal balance between wood and fruit.

The result is a red wine of incredible concentration and complexity, with the two varieties blending harmoniously and the barrel giving extra points. Many points!

Deep purple, opaque color in the glass

Moderate (+) intensity aromas of black cherry, berry, tobacco and animal skin hints. It needs to take its time but is worth the wait. As you let it breathe in the glass, it unfolds its character and complexity. Notes of allspice, pepper, cinnamon, clove, strawberry jam, chocolate and tea make their appearance gradually.

The mouth is full, with intense but refined tannins and moderate acidity. It has intense aromas of cherry jam, raspberry and dried plum. The savory feel of cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg gives a spicy character. Bitter chocolate and espresso make the finish pleasant and long-lasting.

with grilled beef steaks, sausages and aged yellow cheese.

Pork kebabs

  • 500 gr of minced pork
  • 1 cup or 60 gr breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, melted
  • 1 tbsp of oregano finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp grounded cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Mix meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, oregano, cumin, chili powder and egg. Mold 16 meatballs. Put 4 meatballs in each skewer that has been brushed with some oil. Bake them in medium heat, in the oven or in the barbeque (metal skewers are needed).

Serve the kebabs with barbecue sauce.
