Domaine du Mas de l'Écriture L’emotion 2018 is a juicy and at the same time elegant red wine from Languedoc. Gentle extraction and aging in large oak barrels allow the fruit to star and shine. We loved it from the very first sip.

Domaine du Mas de l'Écriture is a boutique winery in the Terrasses du Larzac that deals exclusively with biodynamic cultivation and the winemaking techniques of their ancestors. For Domaine du Mas de l'Écriture L’emotion 2018, the extremely low acreage yields along with the gentle extraction give a wine with concentration but also finesse, with dense fruit and mellow tannins. The blend consists of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault. The wine ferments with ambient yeasts and part of it ages in old, large, oak barrels.

The result will seduce you from the first sip, just as it happened to us.

Domaine du Mas de l'Écriture L’emotion 2018 has deep purple color and impressive aromas of sour cherry, blueberry, cherry, raspberry and plum accompanied by notes of pepper, butterscotch, vanilla, cinnamon and leather.

In the mouth it has medium body, low tannins and refreshing acidity. Juicy cherry, sour cherry, blueberry, plum, green pepper, allspice and vanilla fill up the palate in every sip.

PAIR IT

Pair it with duck fillet with red fruit sauce, beef tartare, pork tenderloin with red wine sauce

Roasted duck

1 duck, about 3 kg
1 kg of potatoes, peeled, cut into large pieces 
4 onions, chopped
50g of duck fat
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped sage
2 lemon zest

Preheat the oven to 220 ° C.

Season the duck with salt and pepper in the cavity.

Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft, then drain them well and mush them. Fry the onions in duck fat until they get a golden brown colour. Add the garlic to the potato puree and mix with sage, lemon zest and pepper. Put the mixture in the duck's cavity. Put the duck on a spacious baking tray in the middle of the oven. Bake for 30 minutes in 220 ° C.
Then, lower the temperature to 180 C or 160 C and roast the dusk for 2 ½ hours.
When the duck is cooked, remove it from the oven and leave it to rest for 15 minutes.
We recommend serving it with red cabbage and baked potatoes.
