Why do we love it?

Taittinger Brut Reserve is one of the most classic and timeless Champagnes, with unparalleled elegance and typicity. Taittinger House is the 3rd largest house in Champagne and has a 100-years-old history.

Taittinger House is a family affair and has approximately 288 hectares of vineyards in the best sites of Champagne, between the Côte des Blancs, the Vallée de la Marne and the Montagne de Reims. Their philosophy is summarized in "in order to have gold in our bottles we must first have gold in our fingertips". For this reason the vine growers work with passion in the vineyard trying to get the best grapes for the House's exquisite Champagnes.

Taittinger Brut Reserve consists of Chardonnay (40%), Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (60%) coming from 35 different vineyards and vintages that have matured to perfection. The wine has aged for at least 3 years in the cellars of the winery, thus acquiring an impressive complexity and taste.

If you want to celebrate an important moment or add touches of luxury to your day then you have just found the right wine for it.

Steamed mussels with white wine and black pepper

  • 1 kg mussels, whole (with shell) cleaned and scraped. Alternatively prefer frozen
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 clove of garlic chopped
  • 3 tbsps. of finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 glass of white wine, preferably Assyrtiko

Place the mussels without water in a large saucepan or pan on a high heat and add plenty of pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until they open. Throw away mussels that will remain closed. Pour in the wine and leave it for a 1 minute in the heat until the excess of liquids is reduced.

Drain the mussels and hold the liquid left in the pan. Place the mussels in a deep platter. Drain the liquors from the mussels and pass them through a cheesecloth and then put them in a small bowl. Add the parsley to the bowl, stir, pour the mixture over the mussels, and serve.
