Why do we love it?

Emilia Silva Daskalaki Winery is an intoxicatingly complex sweet wine from Liatiko, which has received 95pts and was declared the best sweet wine of this year's Thessaloniki Wine Competition. In addition, this amazing wine is accompanied by an artistic, super chic bottle reminiscent of the bottle of a rare perfume.

The Silva Daskalaki winery is located in the village of Siva, in the Prefecture of Heraklion. The wider area belongs to the PDO Dafnes zone. The name SILVA comes from the toponym Siva, which refers to the God Siva (Dionysus). Behind the winery is Irini Daskalaki Xenogiannaki who started the revival of the family vineyards in 1998 with the aim of making her own quality wines, with an emphasis on the local terroir. The area is directly related to Liatiko, so it is the variety that stars in the family's red and sweet wines. For Emilia, the grapes are picked at the right time and then dried in the shade for 6-8 days. The wine is fermented in French oak barrels with ambient yeasts and then aged there for over 8 years. The result is exuberant with intense aromas of dried fruits and spices, while maintaining its freshness.

Enjoy Emilia Silva Daskalaki Winery with rich chocolate and nutty desserts.
