Psithiros Rosé by Silva Daskalaki is a wine full of freshness, vibrant fruit, and subtle complexity. Don’t be fooled by the name (“Whisper”)—this is a rosé with a bold voice and a strong personality!
Silva Daskalaki Winery is located in the village of Siva, Heraklion, right in the heart of the renowned PDO Dafnes wine zone. The name “Silva” comes from the village itself and also nods to the god Shiva—Crete’s own version of Dionysus. In 1998, Irini Daskalaki Xenogiannaki set out to revive her family’s vineyards with a mission to craft high-quality wines that express the soul of the land. The family’s winemaking tradition dates back to 1920, and today, thanks to deep knowledge and a passion for wine, the winery continues to produce wines of exceptional character.
Psithiros Rosé is made entirely from the Kotsifali grape, vinified using the white winemaking method. After fermentation, one-third of the wine is aged for three months in oak barrels. The result? A beautifully balanced wine that marries the grape’s explosive aromatics with the subtle elegance of oak. Now picture it alongside your favorite Mediterranean dishes—and get ready to cook!
