Scaperdas Freres Cuvee Exceptionnelle is a brand new and extremely charming proposal from Estate Kir Yianni. It is a top sparkling rose, from Amynteo, made with the traditional method, with a hint of oak that is designed for great emotions!
The source of inspiration for this particular and very special sparkling wine was the great-grandfather of Stellios Boutaris, Spyridon Skaperdas who lived in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century. As you can understand, the French finesse is interwoven with the delicate bubbles of Champagne and the rest of the sparkling wines that are made with the traditional method. One such delicate but at the same time full gastronomic wine is the Scaperdas Freres Cuvee Exceptionnelle Kir Yianni. The grapes come from Amynteo, within the PDO zone and of course, we are talking about Xinomavro. The wine was fermented and matured for 6 months in French oak barrels and then put in the bottle, along with the necessary ingredients, for the second fermentation. The wine matured in the bottle for 48 months acquiring a highly autolytic and complex character.
These are the last bottles so catch it before it runs out!
