Why do we love it?

The Pale rose by Sacha Lichine is the little sibling of Whispering Angel, the legendary rose of Provence. With a slightly more pop look and the well-known Provence style, it challenges you to add a little affordable luxury to your life!

Behind The Pale is Whispering Angel's team, Sacha Lichine and of course the Caves d’Esclans. Caves d ’Esclans operates as a negociant, but also as a winery and every year it searches and finds the best grapes and the best vineyards in Provence, apart from the privately-owned ones, to create The Pale rose by Sacha Lichine. Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah are grown in the Var region of Provence, near the Mediterranean coast. The three varieties are combined in an extremely elegant and aromatic blend, with delicate aromas and color.

Tastes Like

The Pale rose by Sacha Lichine has pale rose color and delicate aromas of strawberry, white cherry, raspberry, peach, lime, white flowers, apricot and dough.

In the mouth it has medium (-) body and crisp acidity. Juicy fruits such as strawberries, cherries, red currant, lemon and tangerine are mixed with floral notes.

PAIR IT

Pairs very well with burrata with strawberries, bruschetta with cherry tomatoes, pesto and prosciutto, linguine with shrimps

Couscous salad with strawberries and goat cheese

For the salad

  • 100 g goat cheese
  • 150 grams of couscous with lemon and mint
  • 3-4 strawberries
  • 50 g baby spinach
  • 2 fresh onions
  • 2 tablespoons of almond shavings
  • 1 tbsp of pine nuts
  • ¼ bunch of coriander
  • 5-6 mint leaves 

For dressing

  • 3 strawberries
  • 2 tbsps. of white balsamic or apple vinegar
  • 3 tbsps. of olive oil
  • 2 tbsps. of water
  • 1 tbsp. of brown sugar
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Salt

Directions

In the food processor (multi), we blend all the ingredients for the dressing.

Prepare the couscous with mint and lemon, according to the packaging instructions, in a spacious bowl.

Roast the pine nut and almond and add half the amount to the couscous.

Chop onions, mint and coriander, add them to the couscous with the half of the dressing that we prepared and mix together.

If there is time, let the salad to "marinate" inside or outside the refrigerator.
