Avgoustiatis Rosé Nature Kefallinos is one of those wines that, from the very first smell, transports you straight back to carefree summer moments from your teenage years. A rosé bursting with aromas of strawberry, sour cherry, blood orange, hibiscus and dried herbs, with a subtle spicy edge that makes every sip even more intriguing.
In this particular expression, Avgoustiatis Rosé Nature Kefallinos shows the lighter, more playful and utterly enjoyable side of this rare variety. The grapes come from a 25‑year‑old, own‑rooted, organically certified vineyard at 600m altitude on the island of Zakynthos. Dimitris Kefallinos follows a gentle, low‑intervention approach in the winery. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and seven months of ageing in oak barrels give the wine a soft touch of oak that never overshadows the vibrancy of the fruit, instead adding finesse and structure on the palate.
This is a rosé made for everything we love about summer afternoons — balconies, courtyards, pizzas, mezze and friends you never want to say goodnight to.
