CHARDONNAY - ZINIDEOS WINERY
Chardonnay - Zinideos Winery is a Chardonnay with rich expressive fruit and a very distinctive oak. If we had to choose two adjectives to describe it, it would be elegant and balanced. Honestly, it's been a long time since we tried such a Chardonnay! Crisp wine acidity that comes in perfect balance with the creamy mouthfeel and the sweet notes of the barrel, from the 6-month maturation. The oak barrels they use are French, first and second use. The result is extremely balanced and delicious!
ELIA VIDIANO - KARAVITAKIS WINERY
Elia Vidiano is a wine that came out of an experiment, a very successful one. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 640 meters and has given enough grapes for only 1.450 precious bottles. Part of the wine matured in oak barrels from the Vosges Forest for at least 6 months. The result lets Vidiano’s aromatic and mineral character shine.
CHARDONNAY - THE PARING
If you like rich white wines, with spicy and buttery character then The Paring Chardonnay will become your favorite. The wine ferments in, neutral and new, French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. A portion of the wine (1/3) is subjected to malolactic conversion to give buttery aromas and creamy texture to the wine. Try The Paring Chardonnay and enjoy the ultimate gastronomic experience.
CHARDONNAY - EL ENEMIGO
Adrianna Catena, daughter of Nicolas Catena along with Alejandro Vigil, the former chief winemaker in Winery Catena Zapata, decided to create their own winery in Argentina, El Enemigo.
Their Chardonnay is a very special wine as it matures for 13 months in French oak barrels (35% new) under flor. Flor, in case you are wondering, is a thin layer of yeasts found on the surface of the wine, which protects it from oxidation. This technique is widely used in Spanish Sherry! Flor gives a special aromatic character to the wine that is reminiscent of mushrooms and dough.
SAUVIGNON BLANC FUME - DOMAINE FLORIAN
The delicate Sauvignon Blanc, after fermenting in the tank, matures in French oak barrel for 4 months. The result is definitely impressive as it manages to perfectly balance the barrel with the fruit, giving explosive aromas of melon, mango, butter, and tobacco. Wonderfully buttery and fine, delicious and balanced, Sauvignon Blanc Fume of Domaine Florian earned a place among the top 3 of the Greek Sauvignon Blancs!
V FOR VOSTILIDI - SARRIS WINERY
V for Vostilidi is a wine way more revolutionary than it sounds. A Greek Orange wine from Vostilidi or otherwise a bone-crunching wine made for thrills and spills. The wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts in a 2-ton oak barrel, where it was left to mature. V for Vostilidi is a wine that shouts out that is made by a demanding sommelier as is Panos Sarris!
