Bushmills 16-year-old is an Irish whiskey that has matured into three different types of barrels: American oak, Oloroso sherry butt, and Port pipes. For 15 years it matured in Bourbon and Oloroso sherry barrels and then placed in Port pipes barrels for about a year, a detail that makes the difference and gives it a finish of unique intensity and recognizability.
